Sadako Sasaki by Rachel
Rachel animated the story of Sadako Sasaki of Hiroshima, Japan, and her brave quest to make a thousand paper cranes while suffering from Leukemia caused by the atom bomb.
Five fifth-grade girls created animated programs highlighting the importance of girls throughout history. Independent animator Lynn Tomlinson showed the girls how to use collage and cut-out animation techniques to bring their stories to life. You can use this blog to talk to the girls and discuss the roles of girls in history.

Hi,
I just wanted to compliment Rachel Cohn on such a fine job on this. I found the video (and this blog) by way of YouTube, while running a search on origami. Hope you don't mind if I link to this on my origami blog.
I liked the papercranes attached to the revolving globe at the end.
